Zach was walking down the second floor corridor, thinking about the ministry’s interference at the school. Things were obviously going sour at Hogwarts. Zach was just bummed because it was his last year at Hogwarts; he did not want to remember his time here and think of that awful woman in pink. If anything, his last year should have been his best year. The one year he didn’t have to worry about anything and just raise a little hell here and there, he guessed that option was out the window. While Zach walked he passed a few first years, poor kids would not even know what Hogwarts was really like.
What Zach was excited for though was the Quidditch season to pick up and to hang out with all his good friends again. A pretty Ravenclaw, with big green eyes strolled by and Zach raised his eyebrows, watching as she walked past giggling with her friends. She’s cute, Zach chuckled to himself. Moving on from the temporary distraction Zach continued aimlessly strolling, watching the other people in the hallway. A couple was making out by the window, some girls were squealing and running towards each other pulling the other girls into bone-crushing hugs, and few others just walked or sat having normal conversation. Zach nodded at the people he knew, though not wanting to interrupt their conversations, he kept aimlessly meandering.
Finding an empty window Zach stopped and looked out over the grounds; the late afternoon sun was shining down and reflecting off the surface of the lake below. Zach rested his shoulder against the wall and crossed his arms, eyes traveling from the lake to the lawns where more students were loitering about. There wasn’t much do at Hogwarts on a Sunday afternoon except dread the long week of classes ahead of you and pray to your God that the weekend never ends. Unless you were procrastinator, then your Sunday afternoons were filled with hours of laboring over books and ink stains on your fingers. Zach chuckled to himself when he remembered the paper he was supposed to get done for Snape. Who was he kidding? That paper was never even going to be started, let alone finished. Zach didn’t even spare a second thought on the matter and continued to observe the grounds of his school.
