It was a fairly typical early term weekend. The sun was still bright, but one could feel the autumn chill creeping in. The leaves were turning color all over the campus and it was just a generally beautiful day to be alive in Donovan's books! Sure there was an air of nervousness around with The Ministry's intervention involving the staff, and her unorthodox way of doing everything in an extremely orthodox way, but so far she hadn't displayed any authority over the students weekends.
At the moment McCalaghan was loitering near the lake, kicking some stones into the water with his clothes sopping wet from being tossed in not long before-hand by some of his usual tormentors. Of course, the clothes were just a black button-up and a pair of dark blue jeans, so the articles being wet wasn't a huge issue. The only was someone could tell if he was soaked without standing near him was his hair, which had managed to absorb what seemed to be half the lake and was dripping onto his shoulders. It all wasn't a huge issue, though, because the sun was shining so much he figured that the light would dry it all off.
Quietly he sung a few songs from Disney musicals to himself, particularly Hercules, Oliver and Company, and Mulan. The young wizard had developed a fondness for the films over his life with his mother nurturing a love for music into Donovan. Soon enough simply kicking the pebbles proved boring and uneventful. Don drew a wand from his belt and began charming the pebbles with simple levitation enchantments. The small rocks then began weaving around and about one another in intricate patterns, almost like something of a dance. The effort entertained the wizard for quite some time, causing him to zone out and not notice people who approached him immediately.
